With these street shots, I made a point to try and get closer to my subjects. It’s a bit intimidating because for the shot to be candid, you need to try and not draw attention, but there’s always a chance of someone noticing you and getting in your face about it.

Something I’ve tried is to camp in a spot, prefocus, and wait for my subject to come to me. I’m still taking shots where I stop and take the photo as I walk past as well, but it’s a little more difficult to focus that way. I’m sure I’ll keep refining my technique as I go. The weather getting sunnier so I can use faster shutter speeds will help, too.
